Why stay here

Four good reasons to stay on Via Ghislanzoni

In the centre, minutes from the station

You arrive by train, leave the station and reach the apartment in a few minutes on foot. Bergamo's shops, cafés and restaurants are right on your doorstep.

Città Alta within reach of the funicular

The funicular takes you up to the walls and Piazza Vecchia. Go up early in the morning and come back in the evening without thinking about the car.

Orio al Serio airport around the corner

The airport bus leaves from the bus station, next to the railway. Ideal if you land late or fly out early.

A whole home, not a room

Kitchen, bathroom and space that are yours alone. Come and go as you please, no shared corridors, the key in your pocket.

Getting here

Via Ghislanzoni 16, Bergamo's Lower Town

We are in the lower part of the city, in the station area. Here are the three easiest ways to reach us. For arrival times, we can sort things out on WhatsApp.

By train

On foot from the station

From Bergamo station it is a few minutes' walk. Direct connections to Milan, Lecco, Brescia and Treviglio.

By air

From Orio al Serio by bus

From Orio al Serio airport, the regular bus runs to Bergamo bus station, next to the train station. From there it is a few minutes' walk.

By car

From the A4 motorway

Take the Bergamo exit from the A4, then follow the signs for the centre and the station. We give you directions for parking when you book.

Address and contact

The map comes from Google and loads only if you ask for it, so the site does not send data to anyone without your permission.

Discover Bergamo

A city on two levels

The Lower Town is the part of Bergamo where people work and shop, and Città Alta is the one inside the walls. From Via Ghislanzoni you can do both on foot or by funicular.

01

Città Alta

The medieval hill town inside the walls, with narrow streets, towers and historic cafés. You can get there by funicular or on foot up the stairways.

02

Piazza Vecchia

The heart of Città Alta, with the Palazzo della Ragione, the Contarini fountain and the Campanone, which rings one hundred strokes at ten every evening.

03

Cappella Colleoni and Santa Maria Maggiore

Side by side in Piazza Duomo, the Renaissance façade in coloured marble and the basilica with its tapestries and inlaid woodwork.

04

The Venetian Walls

More than five kilometres of sixteenth-century ramparts, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2017. A walk at sunset looks out over the whole plain.

05

Accademia Carrara

Bergamo's art gallery, at the foot of Città Alta, with works by Mantegna, Bellini, Raphael and Lotto.

06

San Vigilio

The second funicular climbs from the old town of Città Alta to San Vigilio hill, with the castle and the highest view over the city.

Opening times and ticket prices change with the season. We'll help you plan when you arrive.
